About us
From ambitious beginnings to the data partner we are today. Our journey has been characterized by constant growth, innovation and the drive to help organizations move forward. Check out the milestones that shaped us below and see how we've evolved over the years.
Establishment of The Information Lab Netherlands
In August 2015, Rik van Schaik and Martijn Verstrepen co-founded The Information Lab (TIL) Netherlands, as a franchisee of TIL UK. Focus: helping people how to get more value out of data, resell Tableau and Alteryx and give optimal service and attention to our (future) customers.
First customers and colleagues
The first customers who trusted us then, and still do today, started with Tableau/ Alteryx licenses and deployment of our knowledge.
Inspiration sessions, trainings, events
From day one, we started sharing our knowledge around data visualization and data transformation. We delivered 250+ (free) trainings, inspiration sessions etc to 5000+ data lovers.
Snowflake and dbt
Since 2022 we have added Snowflake and dbt to our portfolio besides Tableau and Alteryx and introduced them within the TIL group. From this moment we can deliver the full modern data stack, allowing us to realize total solutions for data driven work at our customers (incl data impact model, enablement program etc)
Nimbus Intelligence launch
In January 2023, we launched this new organization with full focus on data engineering with offices in Amsterdam, Milan and Madrid. Given the shortage of data engineers, we immediately started an academy. Focus on Snowflake, dbt and Coalesce
Our 10th anniversary
10 years after the founding of The Information Lab Netherlands, in 2025, we toasted this special moment with colleagues, former colleagues, clients and partners.
DDBM founded
January 1, 2026 official start of DDBM, the combination of Nimbus Intelligence Netherlands and The Information Lab Netherlands, so that with this great team full focus on the Dutch and Belgian market we can help our relations from data source unlocking, visual analysis, to enablement and managed services.
