Vacancy

Senior Data & Analytics Consultant

Are you the data-sensei we are looking for? The leader who knows that a project only succeeds when the planning is tight and the atmosphere is good? If you know how to manage projects to help clients work in a data-driven way with a smile and authority, we have a chair open for you at DDBM!

We are looking for a Senior Consultant who is not satisfied with mediocrity. You are the bridge between business (who wants "something to do with data") and technology (who knows how to mix it really well).

Your mission

In recent years, we've often seen: everyone talks about data, but few actually make a success of it. That's where you come in! You will be responsible for leading, managing, implementing and often saving complex data and BI projects at clients.

In this role, we expect you to (with a smile):

  • Be the Captain: You lead Data Engineering and/or Business Intelligence projects. You are not the person who is behind the times; you set them. Scope, schedule, budget - you're in tight control.
  • Being the Oracle: You advise clients on the right BI strategy. You know exactly why Tableau, Power BI or Sigma is the best choice, or why a cloud data platform is the best option for the future.
  • Being a hands-on hero: You share your expertise and help build the coolest dashboards. Because you know: show, don't tell.
  • Be the Docent: You train teams so they don't immediately call the help desk after you leave. You teach them visual best practices and how to become BI ninjas themselves.
  • Being the Data Digger: You dive into the data to make sure those pipelines are efficient and scalable. After all, a good architecture is half the battle.

What's on your resume?

Are you that experienced professional who makes clients happy with data-driven work?

  • Flying hours: At least 5 years of relevant work experience in the BI landscape, you know the ropes.
  • Toolkit: You have extensive, proven experience with platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, Sigma, Alteryx, Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, DataHub etc. You choose the right tool for the job, not the hippest one.
  • Leadership: You have proven experience in successful project management with clients.
  • The Basics: Excellent command of SQL. If you don't master SQL, you better stop reading.
  • Location requirement: You live in the Amsterdam area. Some travel is part of the job, but we like to keep travel time manageable. Most of our clients are in the Randstad area, but we see more interest in other parts of the country and in Belgium.
  • Diplomas: HBO or WO.

What do you get in return?

Besides the nicest colleagues, and the nicest clients we offer:

  • Freedom and growth: A well-filled benefit budget for your personal and mental development. So that you never stop learning.
  • Titles & sticking points: Full support to obtain the most relevant certifications in the industry.
  • Team: A diverse and experienced team with whom you can spar and laugh (very important).
  • Salary: Of course there is a nice reward for all this hard work. Depending on your experience you can count on a monthly salary between €4,500 and €6,000 (based on full-time employment), in addition to good fringe benefits. Including flexibility to work partly from home - as long as the projects rock.
  • Fun: Fun local events and Friday afternoon drinks. Because we work hard, but we celebrate our successes even harder.
